Paternity testing service and other genetic affiliations
FAFG Genetics Laboratory has the COGUANOR NTG / ISO / IEC 17025: 2017 accreditation, guaranteeing and generating technically valid results. The paternity test consists of comparing the nuclear DNA of the presumed father with that of the child. This confirmation is given from a statistical calculation, where a high degree of certainty is obtained to confirm or discard said relationship.
There are requirements that must be met in order to accept the case, it is important that the application form be completed in order to be pre-qualified. After completing the form, the personnel of the Forensic Genetics will be in contact as soon as possible.
We have designed presentations, workshops, study programs, and this work has been promoted from different projects in various countries and with diverse audiences. It is focused on a complete immersion in the day-to-day work at FAFG. The methodology includes a series of face-to-face presentations combined with practical experience and exchanges with family members.
This approach to the human, scientific, and legal reality of the work allows an understanding of the importance of the participation of the victims’ families during the investigation. This multidisciplinary approach creates a foundation of trust among all parties involved.
