Forensic Anthropology


Using osteology techniques we are able to establish the remains biological profile, interpret circummortem traumas, and identity the person.

Some of the procedures used are: X-ray imaging, washing and marking of skeletal remains; sex, age, and height determination; antemortem and pathological findings interpretation; analysis of associated evidence (clothing, metal traces, bandages, ties, etc); graphic and photographic registration of bones and evidence; collecting skeletal samples (dental and bone); preparation of expert reports; with proper management of the chain of custody, the review of osteological identifications by experts from other areas.
